I was just watching some of the scenes from the Leone's spaghetti westerns when I started thinking: how would Clint and some of the others Leone's actors fare as being sexy and edgy?

Chase often references Brosnan and Connery as a couple of good actors he modeled, and I remember there was a very interesting article about edgy people.

But what about the actors in the Leone's movies (take Clint for ease of visualization, he kept the same kind of character for most of his movies too) ?

To me they seem like the ultimate edgy guys.
This is mostly for a chat, modeling them might be a bit too much, they''re way too edgy for normal social interactions unless you don't care of coming across as a wacko and/or scaring people around :D

Sounds good to me! After all what better way to establish yourself as someone above the herd, who doesn't care what others think, but without being a jerk!

I suppose what women would like about "Clint" style personas is that they are totally self-reliant, never try and please anyone, are never small minded and, important this, are supremely competent. Women like men who are good at what they do.

That is in fact the film persona I would most aspire to (though I'm certainly a long way off!). I find Bond a little shallow, smug and self regarding. The Western Clint doesn't seem to have much of an ego - in other words he is very sprezzatura and is secure enough not to have one.

the right date makes getting her back home a piece of cake

And if what you say about Bond wasn't enough... He's also supposed to be Brit :D

But you're right about what you say about Clint and about the self reliant part.
So much so that actually being 100% like Clint would also mean not caring much about women :).

And in your quest to Eastwood-dom, don't forget that there are only two kinds of people in this world, so try to be the one with the loaded guns :D :

Ha ha, alas I'm probably closer to Eli Wallach in reality.

I may have been a bit harsh on Bond. He's certainly good to watch for tips on how to be appealing to women without being ingratiating.

I guess I just get a bit irritated by all the stuff about cars and cocktails.
