My employee relayed this to me with the Preface: "Hey you ready for your daily Ego Boost?"
I was covering one of our retail employee while she went to lunch and helped one of our customers who I'd met before. Enough that I knew her husband's name on the account. She's older than I but has always looked good in her tight jeans. About a size 0, quite slender and petite. After I'd written her order, another employee filled it, and she commented to him. "I know I'm married and all but your boss is sure a good looking man!"
I chuckled but it is kinda rewarding to get some positive feedback from women, regardless of whether they are in our target range or not. Although I will admit, I get more unattractive girls than attractive ones offering compliments or asking me out. But given the distribution of truly attractive women, it is par for the course I think.
So I'm walking a little taller today...
