Damn, I was so close. Things seemed to be going well until we got into her room...
I had gone out to do a bit of evening game. I was a little bored at home, I had read a few pages of Chase's E-book but wanted to go out and inside felt suffocating. I strode of into town listening to music, as is normal for me, enjoying the sweet twilight as the sun diminished behind the clouds. When I got there most shops were starting to close, few people out, mostly in groups. I approached 2 girls but nothing came out of the conversations. Checking out a few remaining open shops, I look around. As I come out of one and start to head to a bar I spot this cute Asian girl walking the opposite direction. I go for it considering I've got nothing to lose and my opening's are going better at the moment.
I deliver my opener, I stay relaxed, not making a big deal out of the situation and give her my name. A couple of pregnant pauses and a new voice to help. She reacts well to it and I start building a fun conversaion. I turn my body away slightly and keep my eye contact focused on the bridge of her nose, making a couple of statements and asking her a few questions to tease out some information. Whenever there's a lull in the conversation she immediately tries to fill it with something about herself.
I make her laugh a couple of times and soon she's turned her body completely towards me, self-qualifying herself and doing most of the work in the conversation. It seems pretty good for both of us so far. I start trying to build a connection with her, getting herself to open up to me. She begins to mention that she's only there for the evening and she's going to Rome to produce a short film. I stay quiet most of the time, holding eye-contact, letting her talk... She fills any gaps in the conversation when it goes silent. By this time I've manoeuvered myself so I'm leaning against a tree and she's standing. I go for her number here and I get her name but we get side-tracked.
I'm questioning her if she's free for the night and it seems that she has to meet a few professors at the university as she's the key-note speaker of the event. I persist a bit and eventually she agrees to walk with me, in the direction of the uni, which is also the direction in which I live. I act playful, grab her hand and say "let's stow away into the night" making her laugh and get a little flustered. I forgot to get her number at this point.
She phones up the people she's meant to meet and I stand there, gazing away, for a couple of minutes until she turns back to me. When she turns back I grab her hand again and start walking with her in the direction of the university. I'm controlling our walking speed and I keep finding out more information about her.
She's unsure about holding my hand so I hold off for a moment and allow us to build some more rapport between us. She's saying that she doesn't know me that well and that I'm a stranger. I reject this, probably too logically, by saying that we're more acquaintances instead of strangers. As we keep walking she decides to ask me a few questions and then a test. I answer the questions and the test throws me a little. She asks me if I talk to strangers all the time. I mess up at the start but recover by commenting that I wouldn't know anybody if I didn't meet strangers. She seems to be umming and erring about me but I continue to lead.
She questions me on what I think about Asian girls. Maybe trying to find out if I think there "pure" or not. I don't read the subtext of the conversation and just tell her how I view them.
Every once in a while I stop us and she stops with me. I go for her hand again and she lets me hold it. We keep walking, getting into a deeper and deeper conversation but I'm unable to break the tension at some points, so to avoid the conversation crashing I keep investigating her life.
She says she has to talk to some people inside, I say I'll wait 5 minutes for her outside. She goes in and I wait outside for her, however I'm considering the investment imbalance by giving her 5 minutes so I change it to 10. By the end of the 10 minutes she's in the lobby talking and a couple of minutes later she's outside talking to me.
She mentions that she has to take laptop that she's been given upstairs, and asks me to wait a moment before we go and get our drink. I decline by saying I really need the toilet and I'm pee shy so can I use her bathroom instead of the public bathroom (she's staying in student accomodation). She caves and before I know it we're in the lift together.
I'm acutely aware however that there are other Chinese people in the lobby and they've noticed me walk in with her. When we get in the lift I hold off on kissing her as I'm aware of the social pressure on her. We get to her room and I go let loose my bladder. She tidies up a bit and as I come out she's halfway out the door, I attempt to keep her in the room with me but as I do a Chinese guy comes by and I'm out. I'm completely surprised and don't know what to do. She walk outside and we get in the lift again... I try to kiss her but she refuses mentioning saying it doesn't feel right. I hold off and we walk outside and sit down on a grassy patch out of sight of any one.
We talk for a few more minutes and I try and build some more tension, leaning in, staring at her lips, a sexy smile on my face. She's mostly looking away but occaisionally looks at me as we talk. I can't feel any sexual tension, so I think "screw it" and go for another kiss. She turns her head away and instead of stopping I kiss her cheek and try to move closer to her lips. She pulls away and mentions her boyfriend (she did mention him when I met her but I didn't really pay much attention to it). She said she'd feel bad and it was a wrong decision. I lean back, get comfortable and respond by saying "there aren't any bad decisions, just bad consequences". This gets her thinking, but I'm sure this isn't leading anywhere anymore so I wait a couple of minutes and then say bye to her before heading to another bar to try my luck... Unfortunately it was dead and only approached one group and a single girl before heading home.
