Ok, so one way to go about Day Game is obviously the direct opener. But personally, I prefer indirect. Some very easy openers might be:
Hi
Hey, how do I get to x place?
What's good here [In any type of shop]
Wow...long line.
Where would you recommend I grab a bite to eat [a street stop opener]
Hey, how's your day going?
...and so on.
Basically, they're innocent very low pressure questions or comments. The issue I find with them is that I feel like after she answers it, the conversation should be over. Like...if I ask her "Hey, how do I get to the Humanities building?" And she answers me, I don't see how I can transition into "Ok, cool...what are you up to today?". Because at this point, she knows that I have an ulterior motive for talking to her, AND I haven't made clear what it is. This is literally the recipe for creepiness. The only other option (other than direct opening) is lines like the first and last one. Something like "hi" or "how's your day going?". But these two also face the exact same problem- it leaves the girl wondering what the purpose of this conversation is.
For those of you who have experience with day game...any advice on how to use low pressure openers like these and smoothly transition it into a real conversation without coming off as creepy?
