Daygame, mask on or off?

Singapore has just loosened restrictions on mask wearing. Now I actually have the option to not wear mask in malls. However, many people are still wearing masks. What do u guys think? Should I half wear a mask and put it on when speaking to girls wearing mask?

Go mask-less

Pros - better communication
Facial expression
Less verbal muffling

Cons - worse rapport
Girls may feel uncomfortable if they are wearing masks and I am not

Definitely go sans mask. All other things being equal, obviously better to approach girls who are also unmasked, but it can't hurt to try approaching a particularly intriguing girl who happens to be masked. I'd say it's much more important that you be unmasked than vice versa, as her cues won't be that much harder to read; a real smile reaches the eyes. Frankly, at least where I am, even for the rare birds with double masks, the nonverbal benefits of showing your face (which completely bypass the part of her brain that cares about COVID) far outweigh whatever she may think about you not covering up.
