So I saw a girl who had a lot of tats that I wanted to approach. The approach went alright but and as she was punching her info into my phone I decided to show her that I'm actually a part of her world.
Because I don't look it. She's covered in tattoos whereas I don't have any. Plus, I was in some nice looking slacks as well as a nicer long sleeve t shirt. We don't look compatible at all.
But I showed her that I understand her with this:
I noticed she had a koi on her arm. And that's something that I want to get as well so I understand the meaning of it. I asked her of that was a koi going up a waterfall to become a dragon? She was mystified that I knew that as well as what it means.
Though I'm still getting a little pushback even an hour before our date (think she needs a little more comfort), that most definitely helped in the moment. It makes her more comfortable with me overall and shows similarity. Because again, just looking at us side-by-side we would look like we were from different universes. So showing her that I understand her, and her world as well as appreciate it, it helps.
But you don't have to do this with only women whom are from different 'worlds' than you. You can do this with anyone and it will give you a bump in authority as well as similarity. Similarity helps with comfort and we all know that chicks love a guy on top
Can't say that, that alone was enough just because we look so different and I now keep my approaches to under 5 minutes. But we shall see
QUICK EDIT: I should probably explain what I mean by 'world'. So, let's take a hypothetical jock and cheerleader. They are from complimentary worlds. They're all about sports. One plays sports and the other supports by cheering on the jocks. Their world is sports.
But then let's say the quarterback is also a part of a big DnD club. He plays every weekend. He would also be a part of the world of DnD players.
Then you have the cheerleader who wants to be a nurse. So for her, she would also be a part of the world of nursing/medical stuff.
You can think of 'worlds' as in what people spend most of their time in. Whether that's for a profession or even just a hobby. If you can show that you have status in what they see as important you will look better for it.
