Did I Dodge A Bullet Or Am I Being Paranoid? Potential Catfish Lure Online

Most of my lays come from dating app game. Over time as I've improved so has the quality of the women interested in me. My looks and style have also improved, and I'm starting to get matched with 8s and 9s.

However, sometimes I have gotten paranoid when a beautiful women is too engaged, too interested in going out, and it makes me paranoid that they are trying to set me up to get me robbed.

My latest example:

I matched with genuinely one of the most beautiful women so far, she was face verified on hinge, she opens me and asks why I moved to the area(I recently moved from south florida to near chicago), I reply in my usual ways, she's typing up a storm, saying she's also moved recently, agreeing with me that im making a good impression on her, basically, she was more engaged than 99% of the women I met.

I still think everything is normal so far, I tell her to text me off the app, she does, and this is when things got weird for me.

First of all, she's not texting me from an iphone, but her pictures looked like she was using an iphone(but im not 100% sure)

her: Hi xxxx it's Angie
me: hey Angie, u should destress from life a bit and go for coffee/tea with a sexy latin man
her: Hmmmm I could be persuaded. When are you picking me up?

This is the text that made me paranoid... Why is she asking me to pick her up when we've never met before? Why is she so down without even asking where we are going? I started looking into the things she said, how she mentioned that there was a problem with her lease and she was forced to move out so she has no place of her own until March,

Basically, I believed she was banking on me being new to the area and trying to get me to pick her up in a bad area of town, only that instead of her it would be a bunch of men with guns trying to rob me or worse.

I replied to her text:

me: I dont do that before meeting someone.. I know a cool spot close to us, if u pay the uber the drink's on me

Which causes her to blow up

her: Honestly, I can take myself to get coffee any day...and just did lol! If you're ever looking to get serious, hit me up. Sounds like you're looking for a woman that's a little more casual. I feel like picking your date up is just basic chivalry that I will not change my boundary on. Good luck in the dating scene !
me: Go play with someone else before you get hurt boy
her: Oh wow- someones ego is hurt

Idk if you are hurt from someone else or what, but you really should look inward on why you flipped on me so quickly after I asked for you to do something that EVERYONE who dates finds normal.

And that was the end of the interaction. I was engaging with this person only to figure out if my assessment was correct or not.

I'm not 100% sure still if I'm just paranoid or dodged a bullet, but have you guys seen beautiful women act that upset before with someone they barely have an investment towards?

It's not hard to steal someone's phone and use their dating apps to lure suckers. I was also thinking it could be another woman handling the account hence the desperate behavior. Or perhaps this bitch was just plain old crazy.

Regardless, I think her entitlement towards being picked up made her someone to be avoided, no?

I'd love to know people's thoughts on this. I am generally someone extremely cautious, I stay ready for anything and keep my head on a swivel, and this triggered my bs radar. But maybe I am simply not used to beautiful women wanting to meet me, and it's causing this paranoia in me.

Also, could @Chase or one of the mods review my rank? With multiple lays and clear improvement I feel I am qualified for the green rank. It sucks that I'm restricted to only making posts in the field reports or beginners board.

You asked her out in a v. romantic way, and she expected you to follow that line of behaviour, girls see their other friends being picked up by guys, hadsomely dressed, taking them out in nice plays they share these stories with each other, and the feel a lil jealous and hopefull that they will also meet some guy who is going to treat them this way.

Pick me up, is a pretty normal phrasing gilrs use when guys tell them they are going to take them out.

If you didn't want to do that, you should have said so warmly and given a genuine reason, that you would probably get lost or you're not that good at driving(some excuse) and tell her to come at the venue

instead you accused her of being malicious, ill inteded coniving witch, who is out to get you.
