I've been riding solo night game more recently as I mentioned in another post. Similar to how night game has good nights and bad nights, I've seen good and bad reactions being out alone from my social circles.
Last weekend I saw two dudes from Highschool that I got the social juices flowing with, and everything ended on a very good note. Why I was out alone never came up.
I've also had some great preselection because a girl from greek life saw me get invited and leave with 3 International girls at a bar.
On the other hand, I've been out and some dude I know will see me, and look at me with a kind of weirded out look if I'm, say, sitting at the bar by myself.
I've also seen two girls who I had set up a 1st date with out - once with me talking to other girls, once with me alone at the bar. Both were flakes (but that could have been something else).
If you're having a good night when you're out alone, it's great for reputation and preselection. People know you're sociable, don't give a fuck, know other women want you, which all amounts to something to capatalize on later on.
But, if you're having a not so hot of a night when you're alone, and your social circles see you, it can be damaging due to people's number of assumptions for a number of reasons.
I've also talked to a number of people about my interest in going out alone, to meet people or women, and why when you go out with friends you're less likely to chat up strangers and expand your horizons because you're comfy, a conclusion I reached on my own.
I've gotten totally mixed reactions.
For example, most my friend's outside of greek life say that's really mature, cool, and exciting, where as most my friends in greek life ask me why the hell I'd ever do that, that it's weird, and people are gonna think I'm a loser. I find that a pretty funny display of how in-group out-group mentality with most non greeks are compared with most greek life I know, or maybe a display of people's reactions to things they don't understand.
Having seen two different outlooks on going out alone, it brought me to writing on this.
To both manage reputation, and increase / manage preselection, what are some do's and do not's for night gaming alone?
Not sure if there's already an article about this, lemme know what you guys think.
