Right now I have a pretty decent sense in the fashion arts. I have a couple nice looking button down shirts a black blazer, blue and black jeans, cool shades, nice watch and ordered a blue wolf fang online. I feel like I dress better than most people I see here in Miami but I don't feel like I really stand out that much. I was looking to buy a leather jacket, but what are some cool clothes I can buy to up my fashion. I know contrast is king but I need some nice clothes and suggestions would be great! Thanks in advance! =)

I'm good with this topic :)

A few points to keep in mind:

- Pick a style that works for you. I sometimes see nerdy or clean cut guys try to dress too bad-boy and it just doesn't work. My style is kinda European I guess, pretty clean cut as it works for me.

- Peacock by being the best dressed guy in the room, not by being he weirdest dressed guy. e.g. Ditch the Mystery top hat, goggles and fuzzy boah. Just dress for the occasion but dress just a little better than the crowd. So you're not standing out in a bad way but you stand out as being put together better than most other guys in the room.

- On the leather jacket. Be careful. I see a lot of guys going for large black leather. (again, the bad boy). It's not very flexible style-wise though and not really in fashion anymore. A slim fitting light or dark brown leather jacket is very flexible though, you can dress it up with a shirt under or dress it down with a hoody overflowing the collar, it still goes with a lot of things in your wardrobe.

- Less is often more. If you like the clean cut look, a sharp white or light blue shirt goes with everything. Flashy colors and patterns are more difficult.

- Fit and cut over-rides any brand names or price tags. You can buy the cheapest of shirt in Target and have it tailored and it will look better than 99% of off the rack brand names which are not your right size. I know a guy who constantly brags about his $250+ shirts but they look like shit because he has no idea what size he actually is. Most guys don't. Run a quick google search on how to fit a shirt or a jacket properly.

- Accessorize. This one's easy and does't have to cost you much. Depending on your look it could be bracelets, necklace, watch, pocketsquare, anything... keep it understated but that fact that it's there sets off the outfit. My think is watches. I have a small collection. The Macys in town always seems to get these batches of pretty cool brand names which they put on sale for $30-$40. I have a few I can fit to any outfit. They aren't gaudy or anything, I like watches with big straps and faces but simple. I think 80% of women I meet comment on it at some point.
It's really simple but other guys just don't do it.

- Shoes. Girls notice and judge you on your shoes. End of story. Keep them clean, keep them fashionable and make sure they match the style you are rocking. You see celebrities even wearing trainers nowadays with suits but you sure as hell don't wear 2 year old ones with holes and mud all over them...

- There's some good mens style blogs out there. Google for "mens wardrobe staples" or something like that. You can really build a minimal wardrobe for not a lot of money. If you just have some essentials, you can mix and match endlessly to fit any situation. It's not all about having tons of designer stuff for guys.

In case you're looking for specific examples, here's a few ways to upgrade your fashion. These posts are a little bland fashion-wise, like most fashion advice should be, because they only offer the basics for you to build off of. However, they're also very neat and get straight to the point. Take some of this advice, then throw your own spin and fashion sense on top of it.

I don't know if you've already bought that leather jacket you were talking about, if so here are some examples how to combine a leather jacket with other clothing pieces. If you haven't, you know what to look for after you've bought that jacket ;)

Hope this helps you out a bit.
