Fed up of underachieving on Tinder...need help and analysis of what needs fixing

Right, a year ago when I used tinder I had SO much better results than I do now. And my photos back then were low quality and weren't that good. Then I read an article of how to improve your photos and I followed the advice in the article but instead now I don't get ANY matches whatsoever. Nowadays I have 4 photos.

The first is me having the male model look where I'm looking away from the camera
The second is me out and about with friends showing me (and my friends) having a good time
The third is me playing guitar on stage
The fourth is a full body shot of me

I've also tried deleting the app from my Iphone and facebook then reinstalling it but that hasn't worked. Also struggling to upload pics on this thread. How do I upload pictures?

It's difficult to give you advice without seeing your pics, however, there are two ways that I know that will get you top notch pics for Tinder.

1) Pay a professional photographer that specializes in pics for online. It'll cost you around $75-$100. Money well spent in my opinion.

2) Take your own pictures and edit them with an App called Square-Insta. It's free and can easily transform your pics to make them pop. Pretty much all the hot chicks on Tinder use it.

Those pics arent bad, but your first pic should clearly show your face. Also make sure you have one pic with a nice warm smile. Those pics could look a million times better if you edit them with Square Insta. Play around with cropping and filters - it takes like 5 minutes to do.

The first pic is the one where i'm looking down away from the camera where i'm wearing the purple shirt. The second one is the one where i'm out with friends, then the one playing guitar then finally the full body shot one

Would you say the one where i'm out with friends shows a nice warm smile? Or is it the wrong type of smile?

Ok now I see all the pics. Group shot is okay since it shows you're a warm and socialable guy. Leave it as a last pic though. All the others are sub par though. You're a good looking guy, but those pics are not nearly as flattering as they could be. Go find a big mirror that shows the majority of your body and make sure the lighting is decent. Then start taking pics of yourself in various stylish outfits. Then edit those pics with the app I told you about. They should seriously be paying me for a the promotion I do for it! You can transform boring mirror selfies into Tinder gold with a bit of editting.

Ok thanks. Do you think the purple shirt and black blazer that I'm wearing in the photos of me looking away from the camera and in the full body shot is stylish enough or should I be wearing something different?

The outfit looks alright, but it would way better with bit of contrast. Right now everything is dark. Instead of the dark purple shirt with black blazer, pick a shirt that's light and/or bright to catch peoples' eyes. Look on pinterest for different men's fashion looks.

You want your photos to say, "Just getting ready for the night on the town and decided to take a quick pic", not "I got all dressed up so my buddy could take awkward pics of me for online dating".

Also if you want a good headshot, take a bunch of selfies in your car. Tons of girls do this since you get the best lighting from all the windows.

Ok great, thanks. Are you sure square-insta is free though? Because I tried to download it but then after typing in my apple id password they said i had to verify my payment info. Also there seem to be many square-insta apps. Which one is it?

Hmm I use a Samsung, so maybe it only works for Androids. There is a free iphone equivalent called Cropic. I haven't tried it, but the descriptions sounds legit. It should have cropping and filtering options and prevent Tinder from autocropping your pics.

Ok cool, so I;ve now got the app on my phone. How do I use it to improve my photos though? So far I've only managed to put these weird icons over the photo or turn the photo on its side. How do I improve the contrast, lighting etc?

The app that you have may not have all the features needed. Download "Nocrop & Square for Instagram". Its the iphone equilalent to Square Instapic.
