Female friends setting me up on date(s)?

Any of you guys had any experience asking a female friend or family member to set you up with a friend of theirs? If so, how did it go? How did you ask your friend? Was there any extra pressure to "make it work" once you were already on the date? In general, any thoughts on the subject would be appreciated.

Yeah I've done this with very close female friends, girls I can share almost all my sexual experiences with and also girls who have actually told me who's dick they sucked recently etcetera. You should be careful when asking a girl to set you up on dates if their is a slight chance she will mess you up. Usually it will be unconsciously, some girls will go tell your crush " hey you know Bboy likes you and wants to take you out "...eeh wrong way to do it.

The best way imo is having my female friends get my said crush around me, and all I have to do is continue flirting with them and said crush. Then when the vibe is good ,my girls leave and ensure that my crush stays there. It's now on me to lead . I will then turn up my humor and move my crush. It's now a instant date..

I already had all the social proof and preselection and I didn't have to expend much effort after all my girls already accept me. That's not to say I will be careless around them, it just means I don't need to " game ". All I really need is to be flirty and cool.

As for what I say to my female friends before is " hey I like Ashley. When she comes around us I'd like some alone time with her ". And they understand.

If what you meant was a typical date where a female friend asks your crush out and plans day and time, I don't know then. I've never tried that and it's not something I think I would ever do. A man must lead, not ask a woman to lead your love life. The most imo a girl should do for you is let other girls know you are a good catch, bring other girls around you, then know when to leave.

One of my college roommates used to do this all the time, and it worked for him, but we always considered this extremely weak.

"Why don't you just ask her yourself."

If you want to go this route I'd reccomend asking your friend to bring her over for a "pre-game" the next time you plan on going out before hitting the parties and then making a move from there.

Actually, I was thinking not so much about girls who I already know. If I already know her friend, I don't need her to set me up. I can do it myself.
I meant more along the lines of asking a female friend: "Hey, do you know any girls who have xyz qualities which I like?". And if she says yes, I would ask her if she can set me up.
