Context
I was at the mall checking out studio space. My voice wasn’t great today, and I was already feeling a little off. Still, I told myself I’d get at least one approach in.
Interaction
I saw a girl at the Ice Team stand in the middle of the walkway. Super hot, older, slutty nose piercing. Honestly one of the hottest girls I’ve gone up to in a long time.
Me: “Could I make a painting of you?”
Her: “Oh, what?”
Me: “I’m getting a studio in the mall.”
Her (smiling big): “What do I have to do?”
Me: “You just have to stand there.”
She smiled a lot, and I smiled back — but I know my smile came from nerves, not confidence. Usually I do better when I stay more composed.
Her: “Oh, no, I’m hardly in the mall working here.”
Me (tense now): “Well let me get your number then.”
Her: “No, sorry, but thank you!”
I turned around and left.
Reflections
Takeaway
At least I went for it. Felt devastated afterward, but I need to remind myself: reps > results. Next time, especially with older/hotter/sluttier girls, I may try a simpler “hey, you’re really cute, let’s get coffee sometime” rather than my studio line.

Reflections
- My nervous smile and shaky voice probably killed the vibe.
- I could tell she was the type where a direct “ask out” might’ve worked better than my art line.
- Since she’s working a kiosk in the middle of the mall, it’s high-visibility — maybe I need to come in with even more confidence and keep it super simple.
- If I see her again, I’m not sure if I should circle back with something different or just let it go.
