so I have been trying to think of ways to become a bit more edgy in appearance I dress professional,have a clean cut hair cut (geroge clooney style) and slight beard (2 on razor) but I wanted more. excluding a full sleeve of tattoos. so in comes a simple zippo lighter " with a creepy joker smile on it". now I learned a couple of tricks like finger rolling the lighter and a cool trick with taking the flame away and looking like im throwing the flame back into the lighter (people love it) and I go to a bar and just do this every 30 min or whenever I get bored.I do a couple rolls with the lighter unlit and then light it up and do the same trick. its almost soothing to me in a way...because being at a bar alone and nobody around you can be sometimes nerve racking. ever since I have started doing this I always get someone to come and invest in me and talk to me to either A. ask me about the lighter or B. do the trick for them or C. ask me for a light. either way It brings people to you with minimal effort and I do this while watching TV at a bar or just staring off into space thinking about what im going to eat tomorrow (aloof,mysterious,asshole is more my type)
so I think this is a great way to peacock a bit and to get girls to notice you first (if you see a flame moving around in someones hand your going to look)
adds some edge to your if that's what you need (I know i did) especially when you are the best dressed guy in the joint.
having people come up to you and invest conversation or have a conversation starter to build social momentum.
It would be interesting to see some others opinion on this or test it on some different "looks"
