What up all,
So I went clubbing last night, really for the first time. Was an interesting night. I had a general idea how to proceed from what I've read on this site, but as you can see this isn't an LR so I'd love to hear so recommendations where I could have done things differently.
Went with my roommate. It was his first time as well. I wore my tight sanguine vneck from Guess, distressed black jeans, and black timberlands. Had some stubble going on. I looked fantastic if I do say so myself.
My dorm is 12 minutes away, so for logistics I was planning to use that as a last resort.

The guy grinding on the other girl from earlier meets up with his friends, and this other guy going after of the girls joins our big group. We all decide on this vague after party nearby. At this point my girl wasn't engaging with me like earlier, so instead I talk with her friends and get them all to like me, impressing them with remembering their names and helping the meltdown girl and getting water for everyone. I talk with the other guys briefly, but they are all losers. So I just talk with the girls. The girls call an uber and promise to meet us guys at the place, and I say goodbye to my girl but she is being all testy.
At this point my intuition tells me the night probably won't go anywhere, but I need a charger and want to finish the night out. I have to compel the group to walk to the place, after they literally stand around doing nothing after the girls leave, needing them for the address since my phone is dead. My contempt grows for these bumbling drunken/high twats as we walk. I was very tempted to start a fight just for the sake of it, it would have been so easy and much more entertaining... we get to the place and its just a bunch of other losers, alf of whom are passed out, and no girls. 20 dudes total, and no girls. What I'm guessing happened is the girls got there, couldn't find the place, and just left. I had been anticipating this, yet was livid, so I get a charger, break off with them, and once my phone has enough call an Uber and go home.
So, important lesson: either do things for yourself, or don't go along with people who don't know what they are doing. That whole night I remembered reading about Alek ditching girls he knew were interested but had complications in getting together, and I probably should have done this. I should have gotten compliance with the girl I was grinding on after a certain amount of time, and moved on if I didn't get it.
Any thoughts you all may have are most welcome, particularly about escalation during grinding and handling transistions.
