One Saturday evening, I decided to take a stroll downtown and engage in a daygame session. My first interaction was with a strikingly attractive dark-skinned woman who looked like an Instagram model. She was taking selfies when I approached her, but she ignored me. No big deal; first approaches are always the hardest, and I try to get them out of the way quickly.
The next few approaches didn’t go any better. I was either ignored, told they weren't interested, or informed they had boyfriends. After five attempts, I felt defeated and walked towards my car, ready to call it a day. However, as I was about to get in, I decided not to give up and to continue until I found some success. The weekend weather was gorgeous, and the only thing missing was an attractive woman by my side.
As I turned the corner, I saw a beautiful woman and decided to approach her with a big smile and my hand extended to get her attention. She immediately removed her earphones, and I opened with a compliment. She seemed pleasantly surprised that I stopped her. I then asked where she was headed, and she mentioned she was going to the movies alone. Jokingly, I said I would join her, and to my surprise, she agreed. I then told her I would love to, but I was heading to meet some friends and suggested meeting up after the movie at a bar in Rittenhouse Square. She happily accepted, and we exchanged numbers. She promised to text me after the movie so we could meet.
Later, we met at a very nice lounge in nearby. The music was perfect, the venue was sleek, and she looked amazing. We ordered a drink, chatted for a while and then went to Rittenhouse Square Park to enjoy each other’s company. She shared that she was in school for her PhD and had recently moved from New York, so she didn’t have many friends in Philly. We talked for another 30 minutes before parting ways. As I walked to my car, I gave myself a pat on the back for persisting despite the earlier rejections.
