Fixing a Lie

I met a girl who's 12 years younger than me. Rather than telling her my true age, I knocked off 6 years to appear closer to her age. I've brought her to bed and we've been seeing each other for a bit now and I'm curious how I can go about in coming clean and fixing this lie situation. What's the best thing to say?
Thanks

Eh, no need to. Just don't ever bring it up again, but if the situation presents itself, tell the truth instead. No need to go about acting like you did something wrong by telling her that you lied about your age; she'll treat you worse off for doing that. Age doesn't really matter in my mind when compared to the maturity of the body. A man looks 25 but is really 19? He'll be treated as a 25 year old. Saying age brings logical standards into things that don't really matter.

SteveUno,

Going to have to agree with Ross on this one. There's no point in really bringing it up unless it comes up on its own. Also, you'll give her more of a chance to get to know you better, and if she likes you for who you are, then it won't be a big deal to her when it finally does come up. In fact, she might even say to you, "really?! You don't even look it!" And then you'll both have a laugh about it for awhile, you'll take her to bed again sometime that day, and it'll become a non-issue.

I agree with you guys about not making it a big deal and I don't intend to. BUT, when and if it does come up, like if she finds out, how exactly do I approach this? I'm good at laughing stuff off but what do I say?

Steve,

Frame it in a way that you can't believe she thought you were the age you said you were. For example:

Her: Wait, you're actually 33?!?
You: You actually THOUGHT I was 27? Hahaha... that's awesome. I'll take that as a compliment. ;)

And just continue to frame it in the way that you can't believe she didn't know you were lying. That's how I would do it!

I see where you're coming from. One thing though, I initially knocked off 8 years off my age and then after a few drinks I slipped (total rookie mistake) and accidentally changed it and knocked 6 years off my age.

When she called me out on it, I said my reason was that I usually just say I'm 2 years younger just to see if people will believe it. She bought it and we moved on.

But now if she finds out my true age she'll know I lied twice about my age.

Any thoughts?
