Hey guys. Let's get to it. About a month ago, approached a cute blonde on campus on the way to class. It went smoothly. I'm not one for corny pick up lines by any means, but from personal experience, this method works best for me. I waved her over, having known her through class and said hi. She was warm and receptive and completely ignored a male orbiter (LOL) so I figured cool. I don't remember the exact conversation, but this best summarizes it.
Me: "Hey there's something wrong with my I-phone, can you take a look?"
Her:" Yeah, what's wrong with it?"
Me smiling cockily while I reply: "It doesn't have your number in it."
The look of shock, followed by laughing, and a flattered look always seem to happen when I do this, and she was no exception. At this point, she said something like "Alright." She than began to punch her number in. Everyone around was watching the whole thing play out, some laughing, but I honestly enjoyed the moment and chuckled myself. Her male orbiter just looked at me like he was about to interrupt, but I wasn't in the mood and gave him a perfectly crafted fuck off look that seemed to make him think twice. Then the unthinkable.
"Only as friends though." I took a second to reply, than turned up the asshole notch just a bit.
Me smirking much harder and in an exaggerated sarcastic voice:"Oh yeah sure, ole' buddy, good pal, best friend. Just friends. She smiled (I swear knowingly) and finished punching in her number.
I walked off victoriously and made it to class where I began telling a close friend if what just happened. He looked at me oddly for a second and told me that he thought she had a boyfriend. I knew this guy wasn't anything special aside from a provider for her social status (he honestly didn't offer much else), but still I though "Shit this could go bad.". I haven't perfected the "if she has a boyfriend" thing yet and didn't want to start drama so without thinking, sent a text saying "I didn't know you had a boyfriend" with a bunch of laughing emojis.
She said something simple like "Yep. Lol." And I never texted back. Can someone give me some outside opinions or insight? Did I handle this wrongly, should I try something even though she still goes with the same guy, that sort? She still greets me very warmly when we pass by each other if that helps. Thanks to those that read!!
