Getting "alpha uped" by friends

I have read and understand Chase's post about what it takes to be a true alpha male. However, I still have a problem that I encounter over and over again.

Time after time I get "alpha uped" by other guys... Especially friends (ie. telling me what to do, half jokingly calling me names). It also doesn't help that most of them are bigger than me.

The problem is that this puts me in a less advantageous position to appear alpha to other friends, myself, and especially girls.

Any ideas on how to stop being "alpha uped" on and to appear alpha would be greatly appreciated as I am somewhat desparate for answers

I thought your use of the word 'uped' came from the word 'up'. As in getting pushed up the hierarchy! I suppose one way to solve the problem would be to find new friends who don't remember you before you became alpha! You'll always be little philly to them!!

Many times the problem is the solution. Does true Alpha care what others tell him or whether they are bigger? He doesn't. Most don't even care if others are considering him Alpha or not at first place.

The problem is you want to APPEAR Alpha, but you are not. You are trying to jump on a position where you don't belong, which makes your friends making fun of you.

There are ways to become Alpha, simply keep trying and trying, and hopefully one day you will be one. Be aware though that human society is quite complex, you may be alpha in one or two areas, and you will easily be low beta in ten other areas... There will always be lots of Betas trying to get you position.

I know couple of natural Alphas, and I know that these guys are very hard workers, way above average. They work hard and hard, and they work hard until they become good in their field. They don't APPEAR Alpha, they ARE. They climb up the latter naturally, by hard work, and they get the natural respect...

At the same time, there are lots of fake Alphas, guys who got on Alpha position without really deserving it. Most people don't like these guys, they are not good, they are not true leaders, they get only superficial respect.

So why bother at first place? It takes too much energy and time to become Alpha, if you are not born and raised natural Alpha you will spent lots of time forcing yourself to do things that are not in your nature...

Find a field that you really like and work hard in it, make it your passion. You should do it anyway regardless of desire of becoming Alpha.

Anyway, with good seduction skills you can get laid ten times more than Alpha, so what is the big deal...

That makes sense... I will also try to use the law of least effort to my advantage by doing only what is necessary to my success and cutting out the fat, like a true alpha.
