Getting "alpha uped" by friends

I have read and understand Chase's post about what it takes to be a true alpha male. However, I still have a problem that I encounter over and over again.

Time after time I get "alpha uped" by other guys... Especially friends (ie. telling me what to do, half jokingly calling me names). It also doesn't help that most of them are bigger than me.

The problem is that this puts me in a less advantageous position to appear alpha to other friends, myself, and especially girls.

Any ideas on how to stop being "alpha uped" on and to appear alpha would be greatly appreciated as I am somewhat desparate for answers

You don't want to "look alpha," you want to BECOME alpha. It exists in the deepest part of your DNA, and you tease it out and enforce it by butting heads and winning. Or butting heads, losing a lot, learning from it, then butting heads and winning sometimes, then winning more.

Ok thanks... Any tips on doing this without appearing overly confrontational... Or is this just something that I will have to deal with anyways because it is a trait of an alpha male?

I'd take a different angle than Drexel on this one - yes, butting heads can get you there. That's old-school animalistic horned-beast thing.

But the other option is if the games and insults are so far beneath you, to socially shame them for being juvenile. Ie they're beta, and they dont' even have the social calibration to recognize they're being an ass.
