Girl Checking out her phone and sms-ing ?

Hey guys , this happened few times to me , i am still not very good at conversation , i understand that , but can you tell me what does it mean when girls check out their phones frequently during conversations , and even sms (don't you hate that!?) Here is what happened to me recently :

This girl and i were talking in a club and she kept asking me questions (i read that this can be sign of interest) , i replied short and tried not to spill my beans.

HER: Where are you from ?
ME: well , im moving around , you ?
HER: Im from here , born and raised
HER: So what do you do for living?
ME: I do stuff , gray economy mostly (smile)
HER: **Laughing

It was becoming too friendly and i tried to escalate with touch , i touched her face gently , turning her head to meet my eyes and said
ME: let me see which color are your eyes
HER: (She blinked twice slowly and tried to make eye contact for 1-2 seconds but burst with smile and broke it of to the side and down slightly)
--But then she took out her phone and started texting , and said
HER: Look at my new phone , isn't it pretty ?
ME: (while still wondering what happened i said) Yea , its super pretty.

One super important detail as well (did not want to make new thread for this)
While we were sitting some guy approached her and started talking to her. She did not say much and turned to me and laughed like "who the hell is he now !?" . I tried to remain calm and did not respond to it , just gave her a bored look.

After that it was lights on and club was closing , i did not even get her number (it was not on high point , but i could have tried) and she went of with her friend.

Here is my 2 cents what i did wrong and what i should have done . Please tell me what you think.
- When she broke eye contact when i told her i want to see which color are her eyes , i should have kissed her or at least moved her.
- When she started texting , i should have i should have maybe said "its not polite to text while in company, lets grab a drink" (not sure about this)
- I am not sure if i did ok when male competitor showed up

What do you think about this situation and what should we do when girls start checking out phone or texting?

Secret Lover

A lot times a girl is just texting people who keep tabs on her so that she can keep up appearances. Now if it's something like she's on Facebook, Instagram, or Snapchatting on your date then that's a different story. I always try to give a response and not react to what she does. A lot of times it is just a test to see how much you'll let her get away with.

Without hesitation, I took the phone and put it in my pocket.

"You're here with me now, that can wait."

This made me smile, I wish I had the balls to pull off moves like that!

I guess that is why I am here at the start of my journey and this sort of thing will come easy when I master absolute abundance.
