Yesterday I was on a date with girl, that I approached directly. She was very punctual, but quite interesting girl. It seemed that she didn't talk seriously during our conversation, always joking and using sarcasm. I learned some things about her, but some things remained unknown, because I don't know if she was serious. She continued testing me as much as she could, though I remained calm. She repeated several times that she thought to cancel date, because she was busy (though she wrote in message several days before that she's free from wednesday onwards) and she will get even busier until she finishes studies on July 1. She also said that she has to go, but mentioned that we can talk for 10-15 more minutes and after that for 5 more minutes. Though she also asked what I was doing that evening (it was 8 pm already). She mentioned in the end that it was fun talking to me, but I don't know if she was serious about that or just polite.

So I left clueless, whether she likes me or not, whether I made goog impression or not?

It really does not matter -- why are you trying to create a good impression anyway? You should be self-amused, somewhat interested to find out more about her and to see whether she meets your standards -- the rest is not worth worrying about. She will form her own opinions I suppose. Did you enjoy the date? That's the main thing.

Standard operating procedure in such cases: Ask her out (or if she's with you -- see whether she's willing to move with you). This tells you more about whether she's into you than her reactions do. Actions are what matter. If she complies -- she's at least somewhat down. If she doesn't comply -- she's a time waster or has other motives.

Yeah, I did enjoy the date, it was quite fun. And she opened up a bit in the end.

But when do I ask her for a second date. I don't know whether I should write her the next day, because it'd look too needy from me and I'm not experienced guy either. Is one week of waiting too long?
