Hot Tub Date Flake
So there is a girl that has been interested in me for quite some time now. She was a girl from highschool that always had a lot of attraction for me (we madeout once in highschool and went on one date; this was like 5 years ago though). Anyways, I found out she recently broke up with her boyfriend and she messaged me in a flirtatious way right after. We messaged for a bit and made a bit of small talk but we didn't set anything up. A few weeks went by and I ended up messaging her and we set up a hot tub date at my place. Here's how the texting went:
(Sunday night)
Me: Hey, XYZ what's going on?
Her: Hey, nothing much hbu?
Me: Just kicken it back, what are you up to this week?
Her: nothing really, just work hbu?
Me: Cool. I am opening up my hot tub this week. Wanna come by for some drinks and catch up?
Her: Ya that would be awesome. I haven't seen you in forever. Just lemme know when.
(left at this and waited a couple days until I actually opened my hot tub)
Wednesday
Me: Hey, just opened the hot tub up today. How does Friday work?
Her: Ya that would be awesome. What time?
Me: Come by for 9:30. Sound good?
Her: No sounds terrible lol
Me: Awesome see ya Friday
(Waited till Friday to text to see if we were still on)
Friday
Me: Hey, do you remember where I live lol? 6:10PM
Her: Sorry I was at work phone died 8:20PM
Me: You still coming by? 8:25PM
Her: I'm done at 9:30 8:35PM
Her: I got called in a groomer was sick 8:35PM
Me: Okay you still plan on coming by? 8:38PM (I felt like she wasn't giving me a straight answer and I didn't want to waste my time)
Her: I hope it's not gonna be late because I have to bring my friend home and shower plus I work in the morning 9:01PM (She kept giving me excuses but didn't say she wasn't come by)
Me: Okay we could always plan for another night 9:08PM (At this point, I said forget it because I am not waiting on a maybe)
Her: What night because I really want to see you 9:08PM (I liked this message, because it shows she still wanted to get together but another night)
Me: What's your schedule like? 9:10PM
Her: Monday Tuesday and Wednesday 9:12PM
Me:Those are days your working? 9:14PM
Her: No 9:14PM
Me: Okay well lets reschedule for Monday? If u can't do tonight. 9:21PM (so we re-schedule for Monday, perfect... at least I am thinking)
Her: That would be perfect! 9:24PM
Me|: Kk ill see ya Monday 9:28PM
Her: Okay 9:30PM
(So she flaked on the date but we re-scheduled right away which was good. I don't believe what she told me was legit about her getting called into work, driving her friend home, her phone dying, blah, blah, blah. I think she made plans with someone else or something. Anyways, I just didn't like that she had to tell me almost last minute. It took her over 2 hours to respond to my first text and she didn't even answer any of my questions.
Monday rolls around now and.... she FLAKES BIG TIME!
Me: Hey XYZ, are we still on for tonight? 7:30PM
NO response from her at all.
I have read Chase's article on "What to Do When Girls Flake" and it was very helpful but I am trying to understand what when wrong here. She is definitely interested in me, so I know interest isn't the issue. I wonder if she is just playing really hard to get? Or if she has me in an"orbiter role". For her not to text me at all to say she is not coming is pretty "cold" on her part but who knows what's going on? I did hear that she is seeing/talking to another guy from a friend of mine. So at this point, I am not sure where to go with her. I'm thinking about writing her off for a while and then maybe wait to see her one night or if she messages me? Or text her and play it cool like it's no big deal and set a different date up again? Also, I wonder if there is anything I could of done different or if there something I did wrong that made her flake twice?
