I have known this girl through a friend for the last few months and ran into her at the bars last weekend. We have always been a little flirty. I talked to her for about 10 minutes, we were hitting it off and she was showing signs of interest so I asked if she wanted to grab drinks sometime, she agreed and gave me her number. I texted her the following day, following the guidelines in the article "How to text a girl" : "Hey (girl's name)! This is Joe, I was just wondering if you wanted to still grab a drink. What does your week look like?"
No response and it's been over a day. I want to obviously be persistent without chasing and also read the article "What to Do When a Girl Doesn't text back", but my biggest issue is what to actually to text her. If this would have been a cold approach it would be no big deal if she didn't respond to my second text. However, I know at some point I'm going to see this girl in the future since we have mutual friends so I just don't want to say the wrong thing. Just wondering if anyone here has any advice or has been in a similar situation with a girl you knew previously before getting the number. Thanks!
