Dear GC community,

There's a very cute girl in my class at university. I managed to sit next to her on the introduction day. She is from Norway and her name is Alina. Before i continue with what i have to say, a number of problems occurred while i was with her. I want to get these out the way before i continue to my question...

  • 1. I was very late to class. I was unwell the day before, so i had to get a student card. This resulted in me having to walk in in the middle of an ongoing class to find my seat (next to her). My tardiness probably says bad things about me to her.
    2. I still wasn't totally recovered from my illness, so there was times when i had to cough (my hand was covering my mouth of course). They were horrible chesty coughs. I doubt she was thinking of kissing me then!
    3. This ugly girl kept following me around. I spent most of my day with her out of politeness (and not knowing how to say no). I hope that didn't ruin my perceived value.
    4. At the end of two sessions of classes, she didn't seem to have any intention to continue or initiate a conversation. As i walked out of one exit, she walked out another exit in the opposite side of the room.
    5. Because i wasn't there on the enrollment day to get my student card, everyone seemed to have made their friends and i was the black sheep. That would have been very apparent had she noticed me outside the class. My value would probably be in tatters.

During conversation, she seemed to smile a lot and sounded very enthusiastic when we spoke, but I was always the one to initiate the conversation. I don't get that feeling in my gut that she likes me.

So, if you think i still have a chance, please read on. If not, tell me in the comments section below. I can handle it! (hope so)

So, i followed this exceptional guide by Chase: https://www.girlschase.com/content/cute ... art-dating
I've done the day 1 requirements (introduction and brief conversation), and on Monday i'll be on day 2. But I don't know what to follow up on a "Hey, don't tell anyone, but...".
If i say there's sweets in my bag or something, then i'll look a bit tight/greedy that i don't want to share it with everyone. And it'll surely look very unprofessional on me that i brought food/sweets into a lecture class.

Maybe i'm over-thinking this. However, i'll very much appreciate it if someone can give me a better way to give her a bit of leverage over me.

Thank you

ryan

I think you are over thinking this. The bringing food tactic can work, but you do it during the conversation, not a way to start a conversation, and most importantly, it's a joke, so don't take it seriously. If you can tie "hey, don't tell anybody this, but..." back to your conversation that would be even better. and remember your fundamentals and move fast! haha they can never fail you.
