Oh, man, ok, I'm in panic mode but in a good way. Just as I'm getting things ready for a date tomorrow with a cute African chick I haven't written about yet, another one, tall Ghanaian (not Zauna from my last post), just dumped a bunch of texts on me after days of silence.
I documented the initial day game interaction here. Approach itself seemed to go fairly well, but she was a little flaky with answering certain texts and ignored a date logistics text. Then again I had the other girl do that too but then agree to date tomorrow.
I gave a day of silence and then:
Hey Soraya! btw are you sure that's a Ghanaian name? It's like 1 letter from [Western name]
Late the next morning, Wed., she answers:
Ghanaian.
A few hours later:
Ok, good, I did spell it right! [not!] Which tribe are you from, do you know?
(Most sub-Saharan Africans identify with particular tribes.)
She didn't answer for 5 days, and I didn't either, then this afternoon I get a quadruple-text (probably in rapid succession):
[Western name]
Am northern Ghanaian lol
Which of the tribes are you familiar with?
How are you doing?
So now:
I'm considering sending this in the coming morning or afternoon:
Northern, doesn't surprise me! I know there's Dagomba, Guan, Akan, lots more..
Managing any events yet?
(I sorted the tribes in my order of somewhat suspecting she might be, but it's a very shaky guess so I don't make it directly.)
Second line refers to her major she recently graduated in. I could either go with that or just ask back something like, "I'm good, you?" I don't want to wait too long to (again) bring up meeting, but at once I don't want to jump on her too fast.
Any critique of this before I send it? Or cleverer/more strategic ideas?

- Don't want to go in too many directions at once..
- Best I can tell her name's not truly of Ghanaian origin. Halfway want to bust her balls, but suspect that's better done in-person..
- Totally doesn't surprise me she's from northern Ghana instead of the coast, based on her look and geographic patterns.
- I actually don't know much about Ghana's tribes; I know more for some of the other African countries. I find this stuff interesting tho. She didn't tell me which she is... either she's just not saying, or maybe she doesn't know (mixed/orphan/...).
- Timing of my next reply... on one hand I don't want to reward her tardiness, nor look too eager, but OTOH I don't want to punish her for finally getting back to me in a friendly way.
