I asked this girl out on a date and she said yes; then she started sitting near me in class, and I got her number, and she was like "see you soon," showing all of the signs of interest. However, as I started planning the date I got the text, "I just want to let you know I have a boyfriend, but I would love to be friends." I have not responded to the text. I did a little homework and the boyfriend is going to a college on the other side of the country.
Any idea why she would say 'yes' to a date if she has a boyfriend? I was extremely clear about my intentions. What's she up to? Should I just not respond and never talk to her again, or what? Btw, I am definitely better looking than her boyfriend.
