Girls at the mall are weird

I have been going to the mall recently the past couple of weekends and I just can't get girls to look at me. It is pissing me off, I mean there was a girl at my gym who just kept checking me out and laughing with her her friend (she was hot) and I did talk to her BTW haha, but when I go to the malls I become invisible to women I don't know why. I wish women at the mall would look at me just like that girl who was at my gym erghhh.

I have always preferred women to check me out first (give me a good eye) then It actually makes it easier for me to approach surprisingly. I am thinking maybe I wont go back out again until I pack on more muscle cause this is pissing me off... what do you guys think?

Hey Ocantu,

Since eye contact is an IOI, you'll find good results with women who give you the eye first. But...you are naturally limiting yourself to a smaller pool of women. Especially when approach anxiety is still a factor in your game, you've got to be talking to as many cute girls as humanly possible.

Keep in mind that women at the mall have absolutely no expectation that they are going to be approached by a guy there. Most women will go their entire lives and never get a guy approaching them in the daytime at a mall. So while you may think that women aren't looking at you because something is wrong with you, it's probably more the case that they are just going about their busy day and really aren't "checking out guys" as they might do if they were at a bar or a club.

At the gym, it's kind of a known "thing" that women get checked out by men -- and it certainly helps when you see the opposite sex working on a fit body! You're a lot more likely to get looks at the gym since you are all stationary and essentially increasing your level of attractiveness by building muscle and cutting fat. It's natural that women will take notice, and it's natural that men will take notice of the women. You have to be careful not to fit into the creeper category here though; see Chase's article on picking up women at the gym if you haven't already.

Don't stress too much if you're not getting eye contact at the mall. The best thing to do for that type of day game is to go into a store and peruse the aisles for items until you see a girl you find attractive that happens to be shopping there as well. Then you can make a situational or direct opener on her and she will likely be very receptive if you look comfortable and your fundamentals are tight (as opposed to night game where women have their guards up).

Thanks Franco, I now know that if a girl looks at you first, then that is a bonus but you have to approach even when they don't check you out. I have to engrave this in my head as I tend to forget it alot. I am not giving up yet I will go back out again.
