This is true.
Most girls i know, that have certain level of popularity, don't show their relationship status on media. To me, i see two reasons.
1)Privacy
2)The guy sucks.
and i see number 2 many times. More times than i can count. But importantly. Our society, our education system, our religious or morals education/system. don't teach us to handle cognitive dissonance. and one of the reasons why the world is in turmoil partly, is because everyone starting to express themselves.
Our minds cannot catch up with it,
and this relates back to we are not teach to handle cognitive dissonance. There's a high level of cognitive dissonance around the world. Don't believe me? Search for Suzy Favor Hamilton. Just one examples of that "good girl". (Her husband knew about her prostitution).
