Going straight to the point doesn't seem to work for me, I get very few follow ups to the texts I send.

I know the mistake can often lie before but I’d rather focus on the texts right now.

I didn't talk about a future meet up in this case because she said right away she had a BF (which I later found out not true, but it makes sense, it was night when I met her at the bus stop and I had a beer in my hand).

We then shared the bus home and the rest of the interaction was quite good.

Me
]My German is not too good but that sounds like a cool surname
Nice meeting you yesterday!

Her
It's a russian surname. The german one is "V"xxx. Yes, it's interesting to meet people from all around the world. This is one of my favorite part of xxx, too

• Me
Can't meet polar bears as in xxx but almost everyone else, ja You like white wine, right?

Her
Haha you are so funny .. yes, i really don't like the taste of red wine. And what about you? Whitch sort of wine do you prefer as a real xxx man?

Me
I guess I have an emotional connection for the wine of my area, xxx , and I have an idea: let's get one and let's go to a park one of these days. When is it a good day for you?

Anyone?
I felt the convo was going and she was putting effort in it, both in person and via text.

Asking early might have lowered chances (?).

I was thinking about this follow up text:
“hey, you’re taking your time, don’t stress it too much, I know I’m cool and all but it’s just a walk in the park”

Assuming you want candid feedback... it is my opinion your last message was horrible.

She gave you two massive compliments and what did you do to reward it? Turn the focus on yourself and start prattling about your "emotional connection". And a bottle of wine in a park doesn't sound like a very classy date (assuming she's a classy girl)... a little reminiscent of a hobo for her liking perhaps? :)

The pity about it is that the rest seemed fine, and it sounded as if she was into you at first.

Of course I want a candid feedback, I'm not looking for eye-candies! :)

Why is it horrible, isn't it an idea of this website to move quickly? I replied to a question, didn't want to turn the attention towards me -but it may sound!- and I used it as a "natural" bridge to an invite as I didn't want to keep cracking jokes to make her laugh via FB.

The wine in the park was my hallmark last summer as there was an amazing view and it's something I really like. Why should ibe sit in a bar/pub/restaurant with a beautiful weather. She's in her young 20s, she shouldn't be that stuck up at least for what age concerns.

Anyway, what would you have said instead?

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take
