Going out tonight, goal is to get my first makeout ever, any advice?

My goal tonight is to get my first makeout ever at a bar, any advice on how to approach this?

Do I just walk up to girls and tell them I find them hot?

Do I talk to them for a long time and then go for the makeout later on in the night?

Any help appreciated.

Also want to get my first number close.
