Hand Gestures While Speaking

Hi guys,

I have been noticing a common theme among PUAs, they are all very good at using hand gestures while they are talking. I have noticed in a few videos of Chase, Neil Strauss, Josh Pellicer, and a couple others that they all use their hands to communicate while speaking, well above what I would consider average. Has anyone else noticed this? Is this an important part of becoming charismatic? I have often found myself not using my hands enough. Are there any ways to go about improving this facet of my game?

I would say anything you do to the point where you are pre-meditating your actions is too much. Just go with the moment and if a hand wave, point, or other gesture is made it is what it is. I myself am Italian so I also have a tendency to talk with my hands, but never to the point where I look outrageous. Then again if you are trying to joke around with a girl or be funny, using your hands could help heighten what you're saying. Hope that helps.

Chase has an article on this. It's an older one not sure if anyone knows it. I know it has to do with "fundamentals".

My opinion on it is don't be too excessive where you seem flamboyant, congruency is important. What I do is usually keep a nice chill vibe, I use my hands in a slow powerful manner or if necessary to describe. Usually though, my hands are tied up doing light kino.
