Has Tinder further worsened the 80-20 issue?

I get the impression that PUAs don't like people referring to this, as it's often a way of whining. And it may make
guys depressed, or make them likely to give up. Anyway, I'm way past that stage of bitterness, so here's my thinking.

So what this is all about, is the whole idea that due to a decrease in slut shaming & monogamy, that women have gradually (over the last few decades of the 20th century), become more choosy about who they sleep with. The result being that the guys at the top get more, and then guys in the middle get less. I've even heard that for a given age group of the unmarried, it could be that 10% of dudes are shagging 90% of women! That could be an exaggeration, but the exact figures don't matter... whether it's 90%-10%, or 60%-40%. And it may be a silly way to think about thing, but it does exist.

My question is, has Tinder skewed this imbalance even more so in favour of the guys at the top? As it mentioned in this
article, you see less couples making out in clubs. I don't mind so much that it my be harder to seduce women in clubs, as I don't really need to work up courage any more, nor do I mind rejection. But that's just a well for me!!

I would look at it differently. There is a capacity limit to a man's love life. If you are shagging a different girl every night you certainly arent tying any of them down (well, maybe you are literally, but not figuratively in this case ) And if you are seeing one or more girls on the regular, you won't have the time to be shagging a new girl every night.

Some men might have higher capacity than others, but there will always be a limit. The average man, even the top 10% of men, aren't holding nine girls in their personal harem. I doubt even Chase or dedicated PUA ever get up to that kind of number. How would you find the time to do anything?

The reality for most successful men is that they will always have women around them, sometimes multiple women. But these women will come and go over time. It may be true that the top X% of the men get Y% of the lays, but that is a function of quantity over time, not availability. As a thought experiment let's say I sleep with 91 women in a year one at a time, and nine other guys each sleep with one. At any given point there were 90 women I wasnt sleeping with that were on the market for those other men!

I would argue that the top men being successful does not prevent the middle from getting their share. I suppose it could be different in countries where men have multiple wives and truly are taking up a disproportionate share at one time

In the Tinder environment, the answer is YES. The guys with the top 10% pictures will be setting up dates with ease, while the average guys watch the tumble weeds roll.

You are basically picking the market with the toughest competition. This will require you to max out your looks and take the best possible pictures.

Make no mistake you are always competing, but different environments will have different levels of competition. The girls you approach during the day will usually have the least amount of competition, but not many will be available. At the bar, there will be more available girls, but you will be competing against the other guys there. You have to pick the environment that plays to your strengths and minimizes your weaknesses.

And YES it is tougher to get laid in this generation than it was in previous generations, but it's not because "the Tinder studs are hoggin' all the pussy." This is a very good point. It also provides some explanation for the instagram phenomenon (in Latin America, at least) of seeing super hot girls with pretty shlubby boyfriends living in shlubby places. They're getting their validation from all the dudes commenting on their instagram posts. And on some level I'm sure they "love" Mr Shlub... even though he's Mr Shlub. But the only reason they're going to move on to another dude is if it's an obvious, huge, easy upgrade. And that's rarely the case. So, they suck up the internet attention and stick with the devil they know.
