Just wanted to relay this story because it is one of the most outrageous things I've done. For reference I'm 42. She is in her 40's and Mom is a pretty spry and sharp gal, just turned 80 and is widowed 2 years.
The woman I am seeing had a party more or less to introduce me to her circle of friends and family. We drove to her mothers house to pick up some chairs. I've met her mother in person once before. My lady tells me her mother commented to her that I was "All Man", which I take as a compliment. As is my habit I greet elderly Grandmas with a hug. Especially Italian, French or Portuguese, so I established that affectionate frame early.
We had picked up the chairs and were sitting in the car when my lady leans over and lays a big wet kiss on me, so I reciprocate for a few seconds. We look up through the windshield and there is MOM. She gives us a scolding look and I think a finger waggle. My lady is mortified like a teenager caught kissing a boy for the first time. I'm Startled...SO....
I lower the window of the truck, and say loudly and firmly....
"YOU'RE NEXT!"
Mom gets the startled look now. My lady gets wide eyes. And Mom smiles. I smile and wave and my lady starts laughing...and I back the truck out of the driveway....
When we return the chairs, of course I say to mom "I made you a promise..." And gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.
My Lady has told that story to all her friends now and I think I established the frame of that I don't apologize for being a strong lover....
