I'd say it depends on who you're with!
For new girls who are trying to get a feel for what your value is, a small hickey on the side of your neck can actually generate a ton of interest from women. She thinks to herself, "some woman wanted this man so badly that she had to make a MARK on him to try to claim him! He must be quite good in bed..."
On the other hand, if it's a girl you're
already sleeping with and you have a hickey from
another girl, then you could be in for some drama or a huge shit test. But it also depends on your relationship with the girl -- if it's an open, honest one where you both know you're dating different people, the girl might even "high-five" you for your success.
It really depends on your relationship with the girl who sees it. Generally, if it's a girl who you've already slept with who's hoping to tie you down into a monogamous relationship, you're going to get a pretty harsh reaction if she suddenly finds out that other women are sleeping with you. If it's a new girl who notices the hickey, it is generally going to generate interest from her if she sees it. Your job is to make it look like it was no big deal; you can even "attempt" to hide it by maybe wearing some clothing that hides it from one angle but makes it very visible from another angle. Then when the girl points it out, you say, "whoops, I thought maybe this clothing would conceal it!"
