[INTRO]
There's this one woman, living in another city. I've always thought that this person's quite beautiful. She's tall w/ brown hair, has these piercingly good eyes and plus, she seems intelligent and feels warm hearted.
A great person with a great body.
I'm usually not that interested in looking at woman's legs - those are not my priorities in a woman (I'm more into strong facial structure and long hair.), but geesh does this woman have great legs too!
I do have to admit I've always felt myself to be "out of her leaque". After all, I'm shorter and younger than her, and logistics suck. But I can't deny that everytime I happen to be in town, and we happen to cross each others paths (I'm always accompanied by some friends when I'm in town), she's always positively surprised to see me, and is very invested to the conversation. Be in mind, she usually doesn't approach me, but I always have the habit of approaching her, usually from behind, with a witty remark like, "Long time no see, [her name].. Her reaction: [insert positive surprise following rapport w/ casual chatter. Investment on both sides, and she's always eager to introduce me if she has new friends with her.)
I've usually thought that she does this simply because I'm a good guy with conversational skills.
But since last time when we met, I think she could actually be interested in me. Too bad I messed up once again, when pre-selection(?) turned against my favour and resulted in breaking the circle.
[THE ACTUAL STORY]
I was at this one party at a certain city. Some of my friends were there, and so was this woman. I'm not going to go into what kind of a party it was, but let's just say we all had some kind of connections to the party, so that's why we were all there. We had our seat places arranged beforehand, so I wasn't able to pick a seat on my own.
She was there, with a stunning red dress. She looked like a movie actress, and even acted like one at the photoshoots (with jaw lifted just a bit up to symbolize pride without seeming arrogant, with body and face squared towards the side).
We had some group singing, so I decided to sing to my heart's content. When we were finished, I noticed that the girl was looking at me with a thougtful look.
We headed later to the bar, and I continued chatting with my friends. For some reason they decided to leave the drinks for me to guard, but didn't never return to get them (Well, they were quite wasted after all).
I decided to forget the drinks and headed to the counter. When I returned, the astounding lady was sitting next to my seat with a friend of hers. For a second I thought if this was just a coincidence, or if she had actually noticed me from afar, and took the opportunity to join me in a conversation when I was not sitting there - which would not compromise her "actually moving me", but making it seem like a coincidence.
Anyways, I didn't hesitate to join them. We started with the casual, me positively commenting about the bar, then asking how her night had been and what she liked of the party earlier. She answered the questions eagerly, then asking the same from me. Then she continued,
HER: You know, back at the party I couldn't but notice how great your singing was.. It really felt like the whole place luminated when you started singing. [This was stated with a genuinely amazed look at her face. It wasn't a flirty look, but demonstrated deep respect for me.]
ME: Thank you. [something of me being the mood lifter or being a natural talent when it comes to singing]. Now as we are at it, I do have to say you look simply astonishing in that dress of yours.. [strenghtening my words by slowly looking at her face, then casting my eyes towards her dress and her feet, then back up again]
As she was just going to answer something, with a smile on her face, I heard "Hi.", next to me on the other side.
Not knowing the term "breaking the circle" back then, I turned my head to see a female student whom I knew was graduating in the near future. I wasn't that interested in starting the conversation, but I didn't want to ditch her out of the this either - after all, she seemed to be alone in the bar, maybe she neded some company.
As I answered to her, the two women - well, I bet you already guess it - they stood up, the woman in the red dress saying,
HER: [my name], we're going to the dance floor now. It was nice speaking to you.
ME: [hiding my irritation in ruining the whole thing] Okay. Have fun dancing! It was nice speaking to you too, I hope to see you again.
Well, the conversation with the new girl didn't last even 10 minutes, and eventually she decided to move on. I thought what motivated to join the conversation in the first place. Was it pre-selection? Or did she decide to just pop up for a talk as she's never conversated with me before?
I was alone again, and the bar was huge, so I wouldn't try to start searching for the two girls. I left my seat, and started to search for my missing friends.
Comments are welcome as always!
