I wanted to follow up with a message after reading Chase's.
I feel depression comes from opportunity lost (and angry is from opportunity stolen). Really the only way to solve this and stop feeling depressed is to create opportunities in the present. Do you feel depressed when you are chatting up a friendly, talkative 10 (sorry, I know we aren't suppose to use numbers but you know what I mean)? Heck no!
So if you feel depressed then create an opportunity (be it sexual, fun, or both) and it will go away. You just have to create the right opportunity you are missing in life. Talking to a girl, finding a new cool website to browse, creating something, earning money, high score on your video game, etc.
Chase pretty much already said this, but I wanted to reword in the way I've been thinking about it lately.
I've been planning on writing a blog article about it in the future, but thought I should mention it now.
