How do you do well traveling solo in another country?

So basically l'm solo traveling in Spain (currently in Malaga) rn and I'm here till Monday. Before when I was in Spain I got pretty lucky but this year it doesn't seem to have the same effect. Like I used to have the confidence but I feel like my self doubt and anxiety take over. Also my Spanish is slightly limited.
Like l'd want to go and speak to a girl but I get so anxious.

You're nervous because this is unfamiliar territory. Practice builds confidence. You could try opening in Spanish, screening for another language, then moving to another language you know. Europeans tend to know other languages.

Alternatively, try finding where people are likely to speak your language; for example, near business universities, ports, or foreign quarters. I don't know Spain well, but you might be able to find people who speak French, for example, by the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona near French neighborhoods.
