How do you respond to compliments from women?

So last night I was out at a club and I had a few women compliment me very early into the interaction. A few of the compliments included: "You have nice hair", "I like your name, it's nice" and "you have a nice butt". My response to them was either "thank you (with a genuine smile)" or "I know (with a smirk)". Now, these are my usual responses to compliments but I find sometimes the interaction will go awkward or "die" off after this, unless she continues the conversation with a question or something.

I was just wondering if I am handling this correct? Or if there is another way of dealing with compliments when you receive them. Or if there is something specific I should do in the interaction after receiving the compliment. Also, wondering how other people on the form handle compliments.

Lastly, I usually get a lot of people saying to me "your hair is long" or "your so tall". I was just wondering if these are "indirectly" compliments as well.

These are great signs man. They're interested in you (either physically/sexually or want to get to know you or just open to meeting new people).

Now, these are my usual responses to compliments but I find sometimes the interaction will go awkward or "die" off after this, unless she continues the conversation with a question or something.

Women expect a man to lead, especially after they open. You need to continue the conversation along after a woman gives you a compliment. Ask her questions.

Here are some options:

1.) "Ah, so you usually date guys with this hairstyle?" or "So you like tall guys?"

Great way to make them start chasing (well, they already are). If "no" or "yes," can ask, "What kind of guys do you usually date?" Can add humor into this. For example, if they like your hair but say "no" to dating guys like you, you can say, "Oh, so you don't date guys with hair...?" Or you can be more direct and say, "So you're interested in trying a guy with awesome hair for a change...?"

2.) Compliance or touch.

"Ah, you like my hair... well, it feels even better. Reach up and touch it" (with smile and bend head down slightly)
"Yes, very tall.... can you even reach up to my chin? Give it a try" (or something; this one is kind of weak)
"You have a nice butt." "Don't be shy; give it a pinch."

This can also be an excuse to touch her.

"Well, I don't think mine is as good as yours... let me see" (reaching arm slowly to her hair) "Yep, mine is better "

Just have fun with it.

3.) Just start talking.

"Thanks, so how's your night going?"
"You're sweet.... Maybe too sweet for me." (wink)
"I do the best I can. What's your name?"
"Thanks, Thor brushes my hair every night."
Anything really.

4.) Something witty, direct, or James Bond-esque.

"I love your hair." "I don't think that's the only thing you'll love about me."
"You have a nice butt." "My eyes are up here! Gosh, women are such perverts..."
"You have a nice butt." "It feels even better than it looks."
"You are so tall." "Well, you know what they say about tall men...."
"I like your name." "You can have it; I have many, working for the British government...."


Just say "thanks" and ask a question....
Or, say something either witty/funny or sexual or both.
