I normally don't say my real name right away and what tends to happen is I will forget since the conversation will be going so well. So I met someone face to face recently and I told her my real name during the date since I realized I had not told her yet.

How many women would not be interested in a 2nd date because of this?

Depends, if you playing online game and you don't tell your name, You're a creep, in that sense. But names are not important as what people make it ought to be.

So you are telling her your nickname? I do the same thing and say my name is Barry.

Later on if she calls my phone and hears my voicemail or I like her enough - I will tell her my real one. I will say, "that's what my friends have called me for the longest time." I have a reason for a nickname because I was named after one of my favorite football players Barry Sanders!
