How much sex do normal people really have?

I was having a conversation with a female friend, and she told me she read some research saying that people have 4 - 6 sexual partners in a lifetime. Is this number real? I read a lot of the media portraits that everyone's getting laid, but when I go out, I rarely see any of my friends going home with somebody. Friends tell me they haven't got laid in years even.

And once you get good at seducing, how do you view this people? My little success since applying this eight months ago has given me some insights. Like how we view sex, how media is portraying sex and the reality really is. Your thoughts?

Honestly it all depends on your outlook on life. When your constantly getting laid and continuing to groom yourself to be a better man that'll be the vibe you'll be giving off and people can sense that and will treat you with the respect and dignity you deserve, just always remember to stay humble, confidence and arrogance are good but cockiness isn't, don't look down on others, leave that to the haters and beta bucks, and if you can always pass down this knowledge to those who aren't that knowledgable in this trade

the averages are hiding a huge disparity between people. Across both genders, 45% of people had 4 of less partners in their life so far, and 12% of people had 21 or more partners. There are huge disparity between genders too. You may want to take a look at this link, it's very interesting.
