So I have a problem with showing affection or just saying nice things to my girlfriend.
I've grown up in a household of brothers where saying nice things or being anything other then sarcastic about to feelings or anything got you made fun of, and it's something I'm battling to change in my life.
Basically, when my girlfriend is around I find it subconsciously difficult to compliment her or say anything that isn't insensitive or sarcastic(like when she asked if I'm glad I got to spend the day with her, I make a sarcastic joke about how I'm not, when I really am). It's an environment I grew up in and it's been hard for me to overcome it.
This obviously leads to a lot of fights sometimes, and it's something I need to change in myself, any tips??
