How to date my teacher?

I am currently going to some foreign language conversation evenings which are organized by this very pretty girl who's friendly and nice with students but also very serious and professional about the whole organization of the evenings.

Would you suggest I simply ask her to go drink/eat something after class?

My fear is that I would meet some additional barriers to the normal ones, because she's my teacher and she knows she will see me in teaching contexts again.

Having said that, what you're proposing is a bad idea if you're serious about the conversation group... I dunno, maybe you have a strong frame, stronger than mine, but it will be hard to maintain it when (a) you're not the dominant one in the conversation group, how do you suddenly become the dominant one when you're alone together, (b) if she behaves unacceptably you have some decisions to make, NEXT is not really that feasible when you see her on a regular basis.

Anyway I'm currently dealing with both problems with my voice teacher, you can read about it in my journal, but don't, because it's a sad, fucked story haha. I have pretty much decided to NEXT her and have re-evaluated about the voice classes and decided they have outlived their usefulness and I'm better off practicing on my own... anyway just a heads up for u. There are millions of women out there... haha.
