A lot of advice given on PU forums, even by senior members and instructor-level guys, is regretfully not actionable advice.
For example, any post on the form "think like that", "be confident" or "be more outcome independent" is potentially unactionable for a lot of guys who lack the prerequisites to internalize such a state of mind.
This is just frustrating to everybody involved, and often just generates more over-analysis and hesitation by the receiver.
Advice must be formulated in terms of actions that the reader can actually DO - not just as even more layers of unnecessary abstraction and conceptualization.
Even the gurus have sinned against this - for example if you read any of Swinggcat's material, stick to his excellent outergame concepts. His innergame materials are not actionable, so just ignore them.
Knowing how to give actionable advice is especially important if you are an instructor or senior member. But even students of game would benefit much from knowing what sort of advice will just create clutter in their minds and rather seeking out actionable materials.
I may write more detailed about this in the future, but in the meanwhile enjoy this classic by Illuminatus.
