Hello,
in one of our courses (it is called, roughly translated as: training of social and managing skills) we have to stand up and say something about ourselves to others in class (not timely limited, but people talk about 2 minutes). There is 18 of us in total. There are like 9 girls. I find it as a good opportunity to try some stuff. So...

Edit: A year ago I had a course where we had to do the exact same thing and I botched it because I spoke from the heart and was quite down at that time. So that is why I ask you guys here :) /end of the edit

As I read Chase's article about dating in class... class = instant social circle which means we will keep seeing each other for like 7 weeks, then we have a trip for a whole weekend together to remote location where we will train.
Second, I read an article How to talk about yourself on dates: https://www.girlschase.com/content/how-t ... self-dates and thought that would be the way to go. Meaning, describing myself as "a legendary figure". I dont like the idea that much but I will trust the article.

So my question could be derived and put differently like:
- How do I remain some mystery about myself?
- How ambiguously can I describe myself, what can I talk about clearly and what not (like my thoguths, what I do, what I did in past, what I focus on now, my future, how I feel about some stuff)
- Should I follow the advice of the article about (legedary figure), meaning start about loses and difficult past and then how I overcame the obstacles?
- Do I talk about what I like and dislike?

As I said, my best bet now is the approach of the article above because I had difficult childhood and compared to that I have to say I am in quite a happy place now emotionally. But, would there be any drawbacks to it?

Thank you for any input.

Unless this is some long-ass autobiographical presentation about yourself, you're overthinking it. I suspect this is just two mins of you talking about yourself or something along those lines. If this is the case, it really doesn't matter. There's not much you can say to make or break yourself in this situation.
