Hey y'all,
Recently I met a waitress at a restaurant who was just freaking adorable, and the interaction was very solid. Pulled a number, but, I'm having trouble figuring out how to keep this casual (no LTR right now, thank you). In our (brief) conversation, she asked how long I was in town for (a couple weeks), and she said she's also leaving soon. After asking her number, she took my phone and called herself. Nice
.
Here's the texting convo:
Me 10:18 - Glad to have met you
-Nick
Her 10:19 - Nice to have met you as well
Me 10:42 - I don't know too much about you, mysterious waitress. We should grab a pizza soon. You eat?
Her 10:45 - Haha yes I do but I'm forced to be gluten free
Me 10:52 - Right on. Then we'll try this rockin gluten free place I know. When's good for you sched-wise?
Her 10:55 - That ill have to get back to you on, I'm swamped this week and don't know my work schedule yet.
Me 10:58 - Sounds good
. Shoot me a text when you do.
Her 10:59 - Will do! Perhaps we could grab coffee or something quick this week, ill keep you posted!
Wasn't sure how to proceed from here. Like, no, I don't want to meet quickly for coffee, that's not what I'm here for. But she gave me a value offering, and I felt bad not saying anything. So I said nothing as an implicit way of turning that idea down. At this point I'm not sure if she's in auto-rejection, but that's another story.
So how do I maneuver this to just meetup casually? Should I text her in a few days as a ping for her schedule? Or just wait till she gets back to me, and hope that she offers more time for the interaction?
Any advice/critiques are appreciated!
Cheers,
Jake
