Sometimes,
You will get girls who will wait in queue saying some things and they will say something general. This can happen also in a mass event or anywhere. GIrls or guys will consciously or unconsciously "create followers" for them. I don't know if this is their way of screening out for men/friends who are "capable".
Now how do you respond by this? Respond verbally but never turn your body towards to them, until a certain rapport is establish. Comfort i mean. Until you're good, then make it witty and gradually funny, without laughing. Only smiling.
That's the idea. They want to say something passing, but they don't know if people like it, people have different reactions. For the experienced people, applying this gets boring afterawhile because people will tend to invest in them fast. Both guys and girls who invest you in fast or slower can play a role in your life. So don't dismiss people harshly.
