I recognize how deep fanaticism is

Hi Guys,

I learn how deep fanaticism is in the mainstream. The Holy Bible/religion books can't save people. I can smack them on their heads after pretend to get 'force lightning' because they read it, and they will still be "nuts".

My advice to all, Find your own "truth". If you are honest, you will find it. like for real. You find what you been lookin for, often but sometimes you don't.

So start now.

Like... really? You sound so insecure about your own beliefs, you constantly have to go around bashing them. If you're way is right, then live it dude. If Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, or Shintoism is false, then they will die out. If anything, you trying to snuff them out by beating on them is doing the exact opposite of what you want.

I understand these boards have a respect policy, but if you aren't being respectful, why should I?

I always wonder, why do people who believe in religion, never ask me why.

I never said that. I never said do what you want. I said 'Find your own truth'. There's a very common misunderstanding between being hypocritical at a fundamental level and at action level. It's not spoken a lot but i wish to talk about this.

Given an example, i am telling people to find their own truth. Which in some sense, i am being hypocritical because i flat out bash other religions.

Am i right?

Please do not assume i am the arrogant atheist or agnostic asshole. I really respect people's religion. I'm pissed however, at "muslims" mentality of thinking that the world revolves around them, because it is not. Also, Christians, Buddhist, which are mostly my friends, they don't have this mentality.

You see. When i say this, it pisses you off, right? Well this is the message i am trying to get across to society. Because we are doing it to people, you see.

i want people to be open.

I want people to talk to those who offend them. i want society to be curious about why people offend them. Then again, am i not being hypocritical because i never ask you why are you angry?

So share it with me. Look back thru the feelings, and just tell me why you feel angry. Disrespectful is one, you noted. Anything else?

I think the real reason Nothing is pissed is because you do exactly like those religions you talk about are doing. Which is promoting your way and neglecting all other ways. As an atheist myself one can often be careless as to assume that they themselves have found the way to "truth", when in reality the truth is that we do not know, we can make highly educated assertions as to why Christianity, Muslim etc are wrong but the reality is we ourselves do not know either.

It's funny you should say that, over here it's the opposite. The world revolves around Christians and they like it that way, while Muslims and everyone else try to keep their heads down. People just get used to their beliefs being the norm, and when you're the minority in an area you're much more conscious of other perspectives.

I am in Singapore and Malaysia. So yes. but this mentality is so prevalent in malay communities here. It boggles me, but at the same time, i was that.

Woah, we all are not that much different.

Just take what you want/socialism all the way.... and rationalize "God" legitimize it. And that kind of mentality is 70% of society. IT pisses me off. Because you lying. I am not saying pull the plug because everyone do need help, like Google. Google is free. That's a good thing. That's socialism.

and this has detrimental effect on society if taken too extreme, but 70% of people unfortunately, are that.
