Most women don't need male prostitutes because they already have an abundance of men to have sex with pretty much whenever they want. Having easy access to sex also means they aren't as desperate for it as men.

Well to my understanding, there is male prostitution. Male prostitutes are known as gigolos. While the word can also mean a younger man who has a continuing sexual relationship with a (usually older) female in exchange for financial support, it is used to describe a man who is hired as an escort (or dancing partner). Obviously it isn't nearly as widespread or as common as female prostitution, but it still exists. I mean there are things like male strip clubs and strippers and such as well, think Magic Mike. It does happen. Not as common for sure though.

So why isn't as common? GeneralFap kinda hit the nail on the head. Most women have numerous men, or orbiters, surrounding them at all times. Especially women at younger ages (mid teens through twenties for sure). If they wanted to, they could have sex with pretty much any and all of them. And if they want anonymous sex, they can pretty themselves up and go to the club or bar and get picked up by some hot guy. Supply and demand. Why would women pay for something that they can get for free? That wouldn't make too much sense. Most men have it a lot harder because they are clueless when it comes to women, and therefore are more desperate. There is probably a psychological aspect to it as well, with women generally wanting some sort of emotion or emotional connection in their sexual experiences, whether that's from passion, love, excitement, adventure, danger, etc. Then there's also reputation issues (even if it's anonymous and/or unknown to others), pregnancy, and STDs.

It's not so much a matter of loving sex as it is access to that sex. Women naturally have a higher access to dick than men naturally have to pussy; simple as that.

It's basically a cultural thing, not really a biological thing. Men are expected to be sexual, women are sexualized. Men are praised for being sexual, women are slut-shamed (except in the relatively small liberal oases of the world, and even there it's far from being a non-issue). I'm not saying we haven't made a LOT of progress or that we're living in some sort of gender dystopia, but women are still, on a fundamental, cultural level, seen less as actors and more as objects whose purpose is primarily to serve male interests. (Note that I am not saying the majority of individual people in our society view women as objects. I'm saying that our culture has some pretty fucked-up roots and we're still in the process of breaking down the oppressive structures which many, many generations before us built up. There is an enormous historical precedent for that attitude in our culture and that doesn't go away overnight, even with a lot of good, reasonable people of all genders working hard to overcome it.)

Prostitution is an ancient institution that does very well in capitalism to boot. It generally being tied to the darker sides of society and born out of desperation or coercion makes it a very conservative institution.

Interestingly, in Japan, there are a lot of female businesspeople who go for male prostitutes. I actually have a funny story about a Danish friend of mine who got in trouble with the Yakuza and was saved at the last minute by a gang of ladyboys with the leader named 50 Yen, but maybe I'll save that story for another day...

But yeah, society's a crazy place, and you can't really reduce social dynamics to things like attraction or concrete social value or biological necessity, because all these things are fluid and dependent on the greater social context, and also the context of the act of describing the issue.

There may also be a biological factor, but this does not mean that it is necessary that institutions manifest how they currently are. Too often people use biology to justify the status quo. However, if you get past that, we can also factor in that men tend to be dominantly visually stimulated, which from a biological point of view is so they can pick a mate who can bear a child. Female have different "triggers" because they need a mate who can support a child, and it's not by looking at a guy naked that you can tell things like that. Biology from this perspective is actually a social category though, and is shaped the way people communicate about it. It is something that is learned, so you need to be really careful with appeals to biology, as they can be very, very misleading.

You really have to ask?

Are you familiar with the basics of marketing; supply and demand? When an item is in high demand, but the item is hard to find the price/worth goes up. Pussy, for men, is an item high in demand but hard to get/find for most men. If all men could freely get pussy the way women could get dick then they wouldn't demand it or place much value on it.

Now, dick on the other hand for women is in equally as high demand (or roughly equivalent), but, there is also a high supply of dick and thus the price/worth of it is relatively minimal.

Women don't have to try at all to get dick because men are constantly at the forefront trying to give it to them and because of that it has a minimal value. If every guy in the world could learn to say no to handing out sex (which they don't because sex to them is valuable and hard to come by) then dick would go up in demand and would have more value.

As it stands, a small portion of guys have valuable dicks because they are a cut above the rest and know how to separate themselves from the pack. This is why any guy who is good with women is in demand because he's scarce.

Long story short:

Eggs are expensive, sperm is cheap (parental investment theory) > Sexual dimorphism > Bell-curve flatter for males (i.e. greater standard deviation) for just about every animal species, and on just about every trait under the sun (e.g. more Einsteins among men but also more dropouts and criminals) INCLUDING sexual attractiveness. Females are more strongly clustered in the middle.

So yes women love sex but ONLY with the best men. Even the most promiscuous women are still very picky... yes they will sleep with far more partners than most, but all of those will show strong dominance traits.

While men may like sex in general and like the idea of sex with a high-quality female somewhat more than with a lesser-quality one, women absolutely HATE HATE the idea of sex with an inferior male.

(Thus the seeming paradox that a woman may dream of being taken "without asking" by a mysterious, powerful man, yet her worst nightmare is to be violated by an omega male with no options besides the use of force.)
