Facts on the ground.

1)People go onto other sectors that they do not study.
2)People go government sector
3)Nobody wants to do retail and fnb. Always lack manpower
4)Too much scammy network marketing or your friends become financial 'advisors' and 'ambassadors'.
5)Weight loss herbal life, another network marketing
6)People become Stewardess and stewards
7)People who sign on as government, whether army or police, some need to resign two to three years early for 'RESTRUCTURING'.
8)People do not get jobs from 6 months to a year is common nowadays

and more. Sure, the economy is getting better or is it? :) Not asking people to drop college. Just use it to learn something else. My accounting friends learn softwares while in schools.

Your job? Find marketable skills related to your study while still in college. That's what my friends did. That's the least likely you be fuck over.

The bad grammar/english makes it difficult to understand your post.

Sorry! I was really annoyed while writing this post.

You have to find additional skills, preferably a skill that will complement your current major. Let's say that you are studying accounting. My smarter friends happen to learn accounting software outside of school, and find jobs relatively easier because their skills are known to the market. IF you're under event management, go out and do logistics, do stock takes, get to know how the market works.

Hope this helps.

disciple,

I would totally recommend programming as it really expands your employment options and you don't even have to major in cs to get a job that's heavy in programming. I personally would suggest majoring in something other than cs unless you want to go to cs grad school simply because I prefer to learn code on my own (otherwise I've found classes that involve coding to be extremely time consuming and oftentimes just give out grunt work-- I prefer to work on interesting projects without the time pressures of school etc...) but that said, I would totally recommend cs classes that don't involve coding such as discreet math, or graph theory so keep that in mind.

As for what languages to learn, I'd suggest R, SQL, Python, java, and Haskell

with regards to the majors you mentioned, it's okay if you don't know yet. you'll likely get a chance to take courses in all of them during your first two years of college and this should give you a good idea of what you'll like. I actually wish I had taken more variety my first two years as it would have allowed me to make a more educated decision.(pun not intended)

If you want to make money, econ/cs is a good bet and I would also suggest math and stat.

Can't comment about philosophy or psychology but they seem interesting in their own right.

If you can learn in school, it be good but it might be outdated.

Economics? Law, Marketing, Language, Presentation,
Psychology? Marketing, Law
Philosophy? Private tutor, Marketing

This are just examples. There is a weakspot to everything. You might study programming but it can be outdated or something not related to what can be use on the market. or you can study programming and complement it with marketing but you just don't know how to sell, how to put things right. Also, You want college to be fun, so i recommend only take one thing outside of school. As for me, i studied accounting, work at tertiary school (not university), train students to dance in two schools and also socialize.

It can kill you. :) it drains your ass.

On behalf of society (haha!), there's a misrepresentation. "Scammy" by most people means it is miss expectations. What network marketers present and what people get are different things. In all business, you will get miss expectations, but the problem with network marketing and mlm, is that the 'miss expectations' goes even to the basics and simple stuff.

Basic stuff is they tell you that they want to help you build business but they actually recruiting you, to sell their products to your network, and you basically become their downline.

Most people are confused between two, now that i think about it. You either a business man or salesman. Business man runs a business and also sells. Most people who fall into the category of salesman either wants to run a business because they finally realize that they are NOT ACTUALLY RUNNING A BUSINESS or they are a businessman realizing it is easier and they like it more to be a salesman
