Hi all,
I have been cold approaching girls and getting their number. I always do my best to ask them on a date first before getting their number, being sure to ask what days work best for them. Some girls tell me a day or the weekend or say it varies week by week.
I then text them the same day a few hours later, always first with "Hey [girls name], its NewBeeWinner - nice to meet you today
" I then bring up our conversation and ask how their schedule looks to meet for agreed activity.
However, I get a mixed bag - sometimes a response and a date, sometimes no response, sometimes the girl is too busy, or sometimes shes "not interested" (despite initially agreeing).
I understand some, as they said they had a bf or initially warned me how busy they are. But nonetheless, I'd like to see if I can improve my texting skill to get more dates.
Here are the 3 most recent girls I've texted (and their resoonse, if applicable). Please provide feedback on where I can improve.
1. Girl w/ out of state bf she rarely sees, said I was "really attractive" when I called her cute. Was interested in meeting for lunch over the weekend, in person.
No response yet (kind of expected)
2. Girl who gave me approach signals through eye contact and smiling. Said "I'm not looking to date right now" - I replied "well I'm not looking to date you" with a grin and she grinned back and gave me her number
Her reply:
We are planned for next Tuesday to meet.
3. A girl agreed to meet, yet changed her mind (I called her cute and opened her asking if she was single)
Me :
She then asked where and after a few more texts, I asked her schedule again coming up (as I was busy) -
Her reply:"Pretty busy. Tuesday afternoons are usually good for me though"
We then planned a time and called it good. Two days later, I get this text:
"Hey man, I’m sorry, I don’t want to lead you on by going on a date, if you wanna hang as friends I’m down but right now I’m not interested
"
I replied: "Nah being just platonic friends doesn't sound appealing to me at all"
She then said "Ok. Sorry to hear that." And that was that.
Seems like it depends largely on her sexual/logistical availability and that I may be getting "yes" in person because they don't want to say "no". What do you all think? What has your experience been?
Thanks for reading! Tips appreciated!

To follow up our discussion, is there a day this week you'd like to join me for the best coffee on campus? How's your schedule look?
Her reply:
This week is pretty slammed because of midterms, but usually Tuesdays and Thursdays work
We are planned for next Tuesday to meet.
